One person asked me if I am different with different people
And I just have to say
Of course I am
You adapt to your surroundings
You adapt to the people you’re currently with
You can’t say anything to everyone
You have to adjust to that person
So how can anyone be the same with everyone?
You can’t, unless you want to make people mad at you
Everyone works in different ways
No one will look at one thing in the exact same way
That’s why we adapt to the other
Just to please them, to get the craved acceptance
But, one funny thing
If everyone adapt to the other
How will we know what is their true selves?
How will we know what we are to adapt to?
How will we know how to be the least offensive?
We can’t know
Everyone uses his or her veil of protection
Our true selves are rarely used
We all have different facades for different people
Object how much you want; I know it’s true
The true question should be
Why do we crave for that acceptance so much?
How can we crave it so desperately, that we give up on who we really are just to get it?
I have a question for you
Is it really worth it?
